Waiting on Wednesday:Through the Zombie Glass

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I AM IN LOVE!!!!  How could you not be excited??!!
Inspired by the childhood classic Alice in Wonderland, this harrowing and romantic story features teen zombie slayer Alice Bell who has lost so much—family, friends, her home. After a strange new zombie attack, Alice fears she may be losing her mind as well. A terrible darkness blooms inside her, urging her to do wicked things. The whispers of the dead assault her ears and mirrors seem to come frighteningly to life. She’s never needed her team of zombie slayers more—including her boyfriend, Cole—than she does now. But as Cole strangely withdraws and the zombies gain new strength, Ali knows one false step may doom them all.

Why I am Waiting

 1.  Okay so the cover addict within me is screaming for this and going completely fan girl   on this cover!

2.  Though I found similarities to Alice in Wonderland, what I found with the first one was a loose take on it, with its own twists.

3.  I am so ready to read more on Alice and see her kick some weird zombie butt!!!

4.  Cole.  That is all...

  1. I am sooooo excited for this one! September is way to far away :( I love the covers for this series too! And I agree with you on Cole

  2. I just traded someone for the first book in the series, and now I really want to read it. Usually I'm not a zombie-reader, but I love Wonderland enough to give it a go. Great pick!

  3. I'm actually kind of excited to read this book too.
I'd gotten the first book right away because, well, with a title like Alice in Zombieland how could one not want to read it?
I did like it. Not as much as I was hoping I would be I still liked it.
It was 70% weird and 30% good but in a good way, I guess. The more I thought about how weird it was, the more I liked it. I actually like it more now that I've thought about it.
The titles and covers are so wonderful.
And the author is so nice and awesome (she has an address on her website where you send a pre-paid envolpe and she'll send you back a signed book plate. And for that, I love her).

  4. I LOVED Alice In Zombieland! One of my favorite books. I am looking forward to Through the Zombie Glass for pretty much the same reasons. Alice In Zombieland was actually my first zombie book. It didn't make me crazy about zombies but I liked Showalter's take on zombies.
