Cami and Drake’s honeymoon is cut short as they escape attacks by the Council Enforcers and head to South Africa for the meeting of the Centaur Council, which has ordered a death sentence on Cami and all members of the Lost Herd. The Council Chairman is her grandmother, her most dangerous foe. Surrounded by family and friends, Drake and Cami face the Council, Cami’s power-hungry uncles, an ambitious twin, taking the battle all the way to Zeus to attempt to win the freedom of the Tak herd.

This is not easy for me to write.  Not because I didn't adore the book as much as life, but because I found it oddly difficult to let go of this series.  Nancy Straight created a series with characters and a plot that were basically flawless.  I felt an attachment to these books, I cared for the characters within the pages and cried through the last chapters.  Part of that was the heartbreak that was written into the last bit, part of it was knowing that I would have to let everything go.  However, Centaur Redemption lived up to those that came before it and provided the type of epic ending that a series as good as this one deserved.

Plot wise Centaur Redemption was fast paced and packed with action.  This was one heck of a finale for this series and tied up everything almost perfectly.  The almost lays in the part that shattered my heart just a little and is what I believe to be a great loss to the series.  However, this is what makes Nancy Straight such a phenomenal author.  She has the ability to do what must be done in order for you to feel.  This is not just the wonderful things and plot developments that pull you in but the ability to make you feel the pain and loss that you want but dread.  Centaur Redemption created so many feels, that honestly it is hard to tell where to start.

Cami has developed into one of the strongest female leads that I can think of.  She was never one to shrink back from a challenge or blindly agree to the rules of others, but in this book she has become the woman that she was destined to be.  She has proved that she has every right to make the steps that she has chosen to make.  People always talk about faults within a female lead for one reason or another but really Cami's faults are only ones that make her human, not less of a character.  She will forever remain at the top of my list for strength, emotion and the ability to adjust and own change.  To top things off she has dealt with everything under the sun and is still standing tall.

Without giving much away, Drake has also become stronger and more able.  His fears were put to rest with Cami's love and her reassurance that nothing could change them.  With this he stood by her and learned to use what he thought of as a disability and turned it into an asset.  There were times that I wanted him to be a little stronger in the other books but in this one he was everything that I could have wanted and more.  Drake has become the strong male that Cami needs and one that I now can admire without a single ounce of hesitation.

Now, here is the thing... I want to discuss the rest of the clan but it is hard.  It is hard because there is so much to spoil by doing so.  This is also where my biggest and only issue in the book lay.  It made me want to scream and cry and freak right out.  Okay, maybe I did freak out and cry a little but I also have an understanding of why Nancy Straight did what she did.  There can't always be happily ever afters and not everyone gets the ending they deserve.  No matter how much it rips me apart to say it...I accept what happened. *cries*

Even as I finish up this review I feel a wave of emotion in my chest.  They are happy for many of the characters, sad for others and also in denial that this series I adore as much as sugar is over.  So there you have it, this series is as awesome as life and sugar...  There is character development, wonderful pacing and no dead air or filler books, from start to finish.  I can tell you all that you should pick these books up if you haven't and probably pick them all up at once because you just wont want to stop (*Hint* Book one is FREE on Amazon!!).  Nancy quickly captured my heart and attention with Blood Debt and I will continue to read everything she puts out because of her spectacular writing.

This was right, one family making a stand, together.  Gage and Bianca may not have been family in a blood sense, but there were no two I trusted more than them.

This was the Centaur Counsil?  I expected something similar to the Supreme Court, or at a minimum, a school board meeting.  What I didn't expect was a cocktail party with GI Joes standing guard.

I did my best to keep the contempt out of my voice.  "Good afternoon, Grandmother.  I hope you had a decent flight."
My words took the council by surprise.  Eyes quickly darted between Zandra and me.  Pierre coughed; although I didn't try to read his thoughts, I was sure his gesture was a warning not to get cocky with Zandra here.

*Note: I have less quotes for this book than any other because everything
I marked gave something away :( Just know this book is PACKED with
